B.F.Zernetsky,

L.A. Digas

Institute of Geological Sciences NASU

Description and imaging of 5 large foraminifers species discovered in Lower Eocene deposits (Bakhchisaray stage) are given for the first time for the south-western part of Precaspian depression. They are: Nummulites planulatus, N. aquitanicus, Discocyclina archiaci, D. pratti, D. Nummulitica. The discovery of nummulites at this territory is widening the arial of their distribution in the Northern nummulitite province and anowing to correlate with deposits of the same age of nearrange territories.

Lower carboniferous foraminifers zones of Lviv–volyn coal basin (Betpakodiscus cornuspiroides and Rectocornuspira regulariformis)

Maya Vdovenko

Institute of the Geological Sciense of NASU

In the Lower Carboniferous of Lviv-Volyn coal basin the forameniferal zones are distinguished for the first time. Four of the six distinguished zones were described in two previous articles. Other two Serpukhovian zones – Betpakodiscus cornuspiroides and Rectocornuspira regulariformis are described in this article. The stratotypes of these zones are distinguished in the article and some photoplates with pictures of the most characteristic foraminifera (in systematic sequence) are given.

There are: Phylloceras asisbekovi Kakhadze, Phylloceras serum Oppel, Calliphylloceras cf. subdisputabile Rostovcev, Calliphylloceras heterophylloides Oppel, Holcophylloceras zignodianum Orbigny .

THE OSTRACODES PHYLOGENESIS OF THE SUBORDER CYPRIDOCOPINA (OSTRACODA, CRUSTACEA)

Natalia Dykan

Geological Science Institute of NASU

The ostracodes phylogenesis of the suborder Cypridocopina from the Cambrian to the Holocene was studied. Distinctive features of the morphology of a fossil carapace and ontogeny of ostracodes have been taken as a basis for phylogenetic reconstructions. The schemes of phylogenetic relations for families, subfamilies and genera have been created.

OSTRACOD BIOMINERALIZATION PECULIARITIES

Yuriy Borysenko

V. Karazin National University of Charkiv

An essential dependence of ostracod shell composition on ontogenetic, filogenetic and diagenetic factors has been determined. It has been show that the relation of mineralogic/organic components and heterogeneousty of microelement distribution in ostracod shells should be taken into account for biostratigraphical subdivision of deposit sequence and sedimentation – conditions estimation.

Stratigraphical distribution of Gastropods in Cretaceous sediments, Volyn-Podillya region

Sofya Bakayeva

State Natural History Museum of NASY

The study of the systematic composition and stratigraphical distribution of Gastropods in cretaceous deposits (Volyn-Podillya region) has been allowed to find out here such complexes: Albian, Cenomanian, Campanian-Lower Maastrichtian and Upper Maastrichtian. The analysis of the systematic composition of Gastropods of cretaceous deposits of Volyn-Podillya region, Donbass, Anglo-Parisian basin and Polish-German basin has shown significant similarity of their specific composition. This similarity allows talking about their distribution in one paleobiogeographical province.

THE NEW FINDINGS OF PERIDINIALES IN THE AUTOCHTHON UPPER CRETACEOUS DEPOSITS OF POKUTTIA-BUKOVYNA CARPATHIANS

Maria Ogorodnik

Lviv branch of Ukrainian State Geological Research Institute

It is described the complex of Peridiniales, spores and pollen of terrestrial plants in the Upper Cretaceous deposits of Lopushnia-5 well (4319–4324 m).The peculiarity of this complex is advantage of marine Peridiniales which are spread in the Late Cretaceous time of Europe different regions (France, Germany, Poland), Australia and Russia and also in the Cenomanian in England and presence of great amount of angiosperms plants pollen.

PROBLEMS OF STRATIGRAPHIC CORRELATION OF LOWER CRETACEOUS DEPOSITS (STAVCHANY SUITE) IN THE PRECARPATHIANS

Maria Ogorodnik

Lviv branch of Ukrainian State Geological Prospecting Institute

In the stratigraphic scheme of Lower Cretaceous deposits of the Precarpathians (1993) is present only Stavchany suite (of the Upper Berriasian-Hauterivian). Determination of age range of Stavchany suite accumulations remains problematic question of stratification in the mentioned region in conformity with microfaunal data of V.H. Dulub (1972).

In the northwestern part of Precarpathians the Lower Cretaceous deposits are represented in the main by carbonate formations (Stavchany suite) and in the southeast – chiefly by terrigenous variegated rocks of Barremian-Aptian age in accordance with palynologic data. In connection with this it is proposed to single out the deposits in the southeast of the region in the separate local stratigraphic unit – Pokuttia suite.

Stratigraphic correlation and establishment of the Precarpathians Lower Cretaceous formations age boundaries is problematic and actual question at present because these deposits contain hydrocarbon pools.
