Few Silurian reefs belts spread on shelve of Volyno-Podolian sea basin. The connected with shallow water facies. Every of the belt have specific content of fossil corals. Near shore belts differ from of shore one by size and rock affinities. Some of the rocks could be interesting as minerals. Sometimes the cavernous rocks contain deposits of mineral water. There are untraditional nature resources which require special protection by low.

THE PALEOBOTANIC CLASSIFICATION OF THE GAS-COAL FORMED PHYTOMASS OF THE HUMIC COAL
OF THE CARBONIFEROUS BASINS OF UKRAINE
Vasyl Uzijuk

Ivan Franko National University of Lviv,
Grushevsky str. 4, UA – 79005, Lviv, Ukraine
E-mail: coalgeol@franco.lviv.ua

The classification was first developed according to the results of the study of the geological structure and the monolithic sampling of the 192 coalbed sections of the laver, Middle and Upper Carbon in the mining workings of the Donetsk and Lviv-Volynsk Basins; the microscopic study of the 13002 thin sections as well as the 1767 opaque polished section-bricks, and the 2542 coal chemical analyses that compose 192 monolithic coalbed sections; the 1345 thin and the 72 chemical analyses of the vitrinizet tissues of the coal-formed plants of the 195 phytoleimas. The coefficient of the macroscopic study of the depth of all the bed sections amounts to 100 %, and the microscopic study of the preparations equals 85-95 %. The methane – generating potential of the Donetsk and Lviv-Volynsk Basins has been determined. The published works by the first researchers of the coal and the plants of the Carbon have been critically analyzed. The practical using of the classification will unite modern coal petrology and genetic coal botany, as well as promote scientific prognosis of its composition, quality, presence of methane and choice of ways of rational using un economics.
Key words: paleobotany, plant, classification, gas, coal, phytomass, basin, bed, section (cut), section, section-brick, methane-generative potential.

The article presents data on the vertebrate oryctocenosis of Ikovo locality (Lower Lutetian; Novopskov district, Luhansk region, Ukraine). The distribution of vertebrate remains in the rocks, their completeness and preservation, the selectivity of burial by size, strength and form, the environmental strategies and the relative quantity of different species in the structure of the complex were analyzed. On this basis, the conclusions of predominantly coastal-marine origin of complex and high average annual temperatures of water during its forming.
