Ivan Franko National University of Lviv,
Hrushevsky str., 4, UA-79005 Lviv, Ukraine

The analysis of the study foraminifera and calcareous plankton by different authors are given. It formed the basis for the establishment of stratification and geological age Stryiska suite in the reference section of Skybova zone along the river of Dniester and a description and image of the first discoveries in the transition layers of Holovninska and Stryiska suites, zonal for the upper Turonian species Inoceramus falcatus Heinz. are submited. Based on the study it was concluded that the stratigraphic boundary between the local stratigraphic units is between Turonian and Coniacian and therefore the first age – Cenomanian–Turonian, and the second – Coniacian–Datian.

Holocene diatom assemblages with the Terpsinoë americana were found firstly in the Black Sea sediments, the North-Western shelf. This oceanic littoral specie was noun in the Black Sea Miocene flora. There is found in the Lower Holocene sediments not far from Tendra beach and in the Lower-Middle Holocene ones near Dzharylgach island in original assemblag-es with 85-95% Campylodiscus spp., the Northern coastal part of Karkinitskyi bay. T. americana is the stratigraphical marker of synchronous Holocene deposits of the Atlantic optima in the Baltic Sea.

REGIOSTAGE PALEOGENE SOUTH UKRAINE

Boris Zernetskyy, Tamara Riabokon

Institute of Geological Science of the NAS of Ukraine,
O. Gonchar st., 55 b, UA-01054, Kyiv, Ukraine

Characters of the Paleogene regional stratigraphic units of the Southern Ukraine are given in article. Decisions of Interdepartmental Stratigraphic Commission of the USSR and the Ukrainian Regional Interdepartmental Stratigraphic Commission on Paleogene stratigraphy of the Crimea-Caucasus region and territory of the Ukraine have been analyzed. As a result volumes of the Belokamenskian and the Kachian regiostages of the Paleocene, of the Bakhchisaraian, the Simferopolian, the Novopavlovkian, the Kumian and the Almian regiostages of the Eocene are determined by zonal assemblages of plankton foraminiferes, nanoplankton and large foraminiferes and are characterized by associations of dinocysts and macrofauna. The Planorbellian, the Molochnaian and the Kerleutian regiostages of the Oligocene are interpreted as reflection of stages of the Majkop basin geological history and succession of its fauna and flora. Limits of the Cretaceous/Paleogene, the Paleogene/Neogene and the Eocene/Oligocene are deter-mined geochronologically at the regional scale of the Ukraine. Based on modern correlation of the Crimea-Caucasus zonal scale with the biochronological scale of the ISC uncoincidence of some limits of regional stratigraphic units of the Southern Ukraine with the stage limits of ISC have been revealed.

SPECIFIC LATE MIOCENE OSTRACOD ASSOCIATIONS FOR THE SOUTHERN UKRAINE

Vladimir Kovalenko

Institute of the Geological Science of NASU,
O.Gonchar str., 55b, UA-01601, Kyiv, Ukraine

The records of ostracod association occurrence in the Late Miocene for the south of Ukraine, i. e. in the Pontian, Maeotian and Sarmatian regiostages in the south of Ukraine (the lower Sarmatian (Volynian regiosubstage) – the middle Miocene) are generalized. The study of the numerous Miocene ostracod associations from the different boreholes and outcrops confirms that the stratigraphical resolution of late Miocene ostracods from the south of Ukraine is a regiosubstage. The recognized late Miocene ostracod associations enable to separate the Pontian, Maeotian and Sarmatian from the south of Ukraine more detail.

DESTRIBUTION OF BRACHIOPODS IN THE SILURIAN OF VOLYNO-PODOLIA

Yulia Makhmoudi, Volodymyr Grytsenko

National Natural History Museum of the NAS of Ukraine,
Bogdana Khmelnitskogo, 15, UA-01601, Kyiv, Ukraine

The article deal with distribution of brachiopods through Silurian sequences of the Volyno-Podillia's. Dynamics of sea facies and its influence on variety of brachiopod`s species was details considered. At least three cycles of deposits accumulation are recognized in the Silurian section: Yaruzky, Malinovetsky and Rukshinsky. Also, the relatively deep-see shelf was optimum for brachiopod`s vital condition was noted.

Kyivska 8,UA – 08132, Kyiv, Vyishneve

Subdivision and correlation of the Lower Cretaceous sedimentary sequences within the Ukrainian Peri-Black Sea region are made applying comprehensive study, revision and critical analysis of the all available data on paleontology, stratigraphy and lithology of those sedimentary rocks. In the result of structural and facies zoning of the territory three provinces, namely the South Ukrainian Monocline, Sivash, and North Azov ones have been distinguished. It is proposed new stratigraphic chart for the Lower Cretaceous rocks subdivision of this region.

RUGOSA’S COMPOSITION AND DISTRIBUTION
IN SILURIAN STRATIGRAPHICAL UNITS OF VOLYN-PODILLIA

Volodymyr Grytsenko, Anastasia Kiselevich

National Natural History Museum of the NAS of Ukraine,
Bogdana Khmelnitskogo, 15, UA-01601, Kyiv, Ukraine

In the article complex approach to fossils study is emphasized. It is need for getting as possible exact Stratigraphical division of sequence and correlation of Silurian deposits of Volyno-Podillia. The Schema of facial dynamic is shown. The environmental effect for changing Species diversity of Rugosans is discussed. The sequence is divided on three local series: Yaruga, Malinovtsy and Rukshin. The shallow water conditions were most favorable for Rugosa corals communities. Facies dependency of benthos limited it universality for stratigraphical arrangements.
